A well-constructed online IQ test can give a reliable estimate of your reasoning ability. IQ Revealed uses 40 matrix-reasoning questions — the same question style used in established nonverbal intelligence tests — and converts your raw score to the conventional IQ scale, where the population mean is 100 and one standard deviation is 15 points. That conversion is a fixed mapping, not a comparison against a norming sample of our own. An online result is an estimate, not a clinical diagnosis: only a psychologist-administered test (such as the WAIS) can provide a formal score. IQ Revealed is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Pearson, the publisher of the WAIS, and does not administer or score it.

IQ scores follow a bell curve centered on 100. About 68% of people score between 85 and 115, a score above 115 is higher than roughly 84% of the population, and above 130 is often considered gifted (top 2%). Your report shows your score with its classification band, your percentile ranking, and how you rank against the general population.

By definition the average IQ is 100 — modern tests are periodically re-normed so the population mean stays at 100 with a standard deviation of 15. That means a score of 115 places you one standard deviation above average.

Most people finish the 40-question assessment in about 15–20 minutes. Each question carries a 90-second limit — when it expires the item is committed as answered or blank and the test moves on — but there's no limit on the test as a whole.

You get your IQ score with its classification band, your percentile ranking, how many of the 40 items you answered correctly, your ranking against the general population, and a shareable certificate. Full access also unlocks the personality type and career tests, plus the brain-training library: five adaptive drills covering pattern recognition, logical reasoning, spatial thinking, working memory and processing speed.

We stand behind the platform, but if something isn't right — whether you're unsatisfied or ran into a technical problem — contact support and we'll review your case under our refund policy.

Test performance responds to practice, familiarity with the question formats, sleep and focus — which is exactly what the training library is built for: five adaptive drills covering pattern recognition, logical reasoning, spatial thinking, working memory and processing speed, getting harder as you get better. Be clear about what that buys you, though: practice makes you sharper at the trained tasks and at tests built from them. It is not evidence of a change in your underlying ability, and anyone selling you a permanent IQ increase is overselling it.
